Kramer’s hot tub

09 4th, 2007

This is the actual hot tub used on several episodes of Seinfeld.  Notably the one with Jean Paul (where he almost misses the race), and the one where Kramer entertains a group of Japanese business men.

Making hairstory

09 3rd, 2007

If you’ve got any antique hairbrushes laying around, you might want to check them for famous hairs.  Apparently hair is a collectible now.  Don’t ask me how they verified it, but one of George Washington’s hairs is on eBay.  I don’t know what I’d do with a hair, but apparently someone wants it.  Currently bidding is at $8,300 with several days to go.

Shock your friends

08 30th, 2007

This is an actual antique electro-shock therapy device.  Straight out of the Sears Roebuck catalog from 100 years ago.

Does it work?  It works as good as the day it was made!  All you need to do….is hook up a 9 volt transistor battery to the electrodes and you’ll become an official Quack Medical Practitioner!  It is interesting to note, that you can vary the type of current as well as the intensity with just the turn of a knob.   It’s a very simple unit to operate.  I’ve had several of these over the years, and this is by far, the nicest and most complete one I’ve ever seen!
